Star India batter Virat Kohli has reached Perth for the first test against Australia on November 22. Also known as the king of cricket, Kohli was the first among the jumbo India squad to land in Australia. He was spotted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai on Sunday. Kohli travelled before the first batch of players, who left from Mumbai on November 10.
According to reports, team India is leaving in two bathes for the India vs Australia match. In fact, the Indian squad will begin practising at the WACA ground on Tuesday, ahead of the Perth Test. However, the site is under lockdown to keep the Indian camp completely behind closed doors.
Indian Team Departs
The first batch includes players such as Shubman Gill, Akash Deep, Washington Sundar, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammad Siraj, who are on their way to Australia alongside the coaching staff. Furthermore, the next batch is all set to fly out today.
Captain Rohit Sharma would not be going with the team, and coach Gambhir stated that the decision on his participation would be made closer to the first Test in Perth.
In addition, Kohli will be looking to reclaim his form against Australia after a disappointing performance in the home Test series.
